Compressed Air technology
Condensate Drains
Water out, without losing air.
Schematic section, not to scale
How it works
Condensate drains remove water from receivers, filters, dryers and pipework; level-controlled drains do it without wasting compressed air.
Timer drains open on a schedule; zero-loss drains sense the water level and open only when water is present.
Performance range
Sized by the compressor or dryer capacity they serve
Typical industry range. Exact capability is model specific, see each model’s curve.
Advantages & tradeoffs
- Protects equipment from water
- Zero-loss types save energy
- Timer drains waste air
- Need periodic cleaning
Best applications
Maintenance
Clean strainers and sensors, test operation.
Energy characteristics
Specific-energy comparisons (kW per unit of flow at your operating point) appear here as sourced performance curves are added. Until then, compare models directly on the Performance Map.
