Vacuum technology
Regenerative / Side Channel
High flow at low differential, very low maintenance.
Schematic section, not to scale
How it works
Regenerative (side channel) blowers move air with a non-contact impeller that repeatedly accelerates air in a side channel. They are used where high flow at modest vacuum or pressure is needed.
As the impeller turns, air is flung outward and re-enters the base of the following blade many times, building pressure difference with each pass.
Performance range
Low vacuum or pressure, typically up to a few hundred mbar differential
Typical industry range. Exact capability is model specific, see each model’s curve.
